No Stone Unturned – Save the Rocks campaign at the Institute

As part of the ‘No Stone Unturned’ campaign, Department of Design in collaboration with the Hyderabad based Society To Save Rocks conducted a stimulating panel discussion with professionals who illuminated the critical role the Deccan rock formations play in our ecosystem. The talk by Architect Shankar Narayanan highlighted ‘How rocks can be conserved and made a Design highlight’, followed by insights shared by society member Sangeeta Varma. A thought-provoking short film that unveils the hidden world of Hyderabad’s rocks was also screened at the programme. The non-profit organisation Society To Save Rocks, founded in Hyderabad by rock enthusiasts with  preservation motives, has been working for this cause for decades!
