Eligibility criteria

The candidates should have a minimum of First Class (60% marks or 6 CGPA) or equivalent grades in the qualifying examination (relaxation is provided on CGPA/marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates, 10% for OBC candidates and 15% for SC/ST candidates). The following are considered,

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Architecture / Design / Interior Design or equivalent (4 year program after 10+2)
• Professional Diploma in Design (NID/CEPT or equivalent of a 4-year program after 10+2)
• BFA (4-year professional program after 10+2)
• Professional experience Master’s degree in Arts / Science / Computer Applications (2-year program after 10+2+3)

A CEED score is required for a fresh candidate. A relaxation of mandatory CEED score requirement for the candidates who have work experience of 6+ months in IIT Hyderabad.

Application for DAT will be online through the IITH portal. Call letter for the listed candidates will be sent through e mail.

Selection process

The qualifying exam is the Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED)

• Step -1: Shortlisting based on CEED score or IIT Hyderabad work experience
• Step -2: Shortlisting for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) and Personal Interview based on step -1
• Step -3: Final results based on step-2
