An alumna of IIT Bombay and NID Ahmedabad, Ankita teaches Visual Communication & User Experience Design at the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad. Currently, she is pursuing her doctoral studies at Kyushu University, Japan. She has over a decade long experience working in industry and academia and has worked with MNCs, publications, and design houses and has assisted clients like Singapore Metro, British Airways, Tata, Airtel, National Parks of India, Corbett Foundation, and many others as lead designer and UX design consultant. She ventured into the academic side of things while working as a research assistant at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, and her long stint with the publication industry eventually helped her shape the research side of things. Her published works are now catalogued at major libraries in India and the world over. Her book, “The Magic of Mandu—Suhur-e-Shaadiabad,” has won the “National Award” for Excellence in Publishing by the Ministry of Tourism, Incredible India, Govt. of India. She also loves to work in the social sector, community welfare, healthcare, and wildlife conservation projects. Moreover, she strives to document the invaluable heritage and architectural wonders in an attempt to revive the lost splendor.
