Through a project-based teaching and learning, the course will look at the building blocks of design such as space /point / line/ shape / value / texture / form / color. It will help in overall understanding of perceivable and non-Perceivable elements of design with explorations on individual elements. The course will also offer an overview of principles of design basics such as balance, rhythm, harmony, contrast, symmetry, emphasis, scale, proportion, size, plane, volume, pattern, materials, drawing, color, composition and geometry. Understanding form and functionality correlation.
